for POSREDNIKAT/THE GO BETWEEN, Bulgaria, 2008

Silver Dinosaur goes to Vit Zapletal for POKOJ/THE ROOM, Czech Republic, 2008

and the Bronze Dinosaur goes to Miro Remo for ARSY – VERSY, Slowakia, 2009

Futhermore, the Special Golden Dinosaur goes to Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC)  in Mexico for high level of their work, diversity and unorthodox attitude when facing their topics. Jury noticed the high metaphysical contest of films they presented that distinguishes this set from sets provided by other schools.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS go to:

Irene Ledermann for SCHŐNZEIT/CLOSED SEASON for the method,
lack of declarations and creating an intriguing  film dimension

Illian Metev for  GOLESHOVO for excellent skills of documentary observation
and a portrayal of passing

Hatuey Viveros for MAREA/TIDE for the ability of finding aim and sense in life in desperate situations as well as a metaphysical aspect of the film

FICC VERDICT OF ETIUDA JURY :

Jury FICC:
Lea Heim
Dragana Latinović
Magdalena Skibińska

after having seen all films qualified to the 16th Etiuda&Anima Festival awarded the prize of Don Kichot to:
Irene Ledermann  for SCHŐNZEIT/CLOSED SEASON, Switzerland, 2009

Avoiding any kind of cliché or simplification SCHONZEIT practically draws the spectator into the live of its characters, Oli and Jan, two boys more or less left to themselves after the death of their mother. Beautifully rough in its throughout dim lighting, its non trivial cutting and its unstable camera following closely its objects, the film at the same time takes a very tender and careful look at its protagonists
