The marathon usually lasted several weeks and the dancers were allowed a 10-minute rest every two hours. The film chronicles one dancing marathon. It is a story of the power of dance, the will of fight and great friendships.

The film is a record of daily activities of a pregnant woman which are presented as rituals. The image shows the intimacy of pregnancy, its archetype and peace and security of a woman at home. The idealized reality is disturbed by events that occur after childbirth.
